Those who know me well occasionally suggest that I join a 12-step program for Northwestern University sports addicts. (Not that there are actually enough rabid Northwestern sports fans to field such a group.) No one has dared organize an intervention, which is good, because I’m far too busy watching Northwestern sports to go to rehab for watching too much Northwestern sports.
But just watching isn’t cutting it anymore. Addiction is progressive, and this year I’m writing a weekly column for deadspin.com about NU’s quest for its first NCAA Tournament bid. Check that out here. The column has a nice little following and has been mentioned in Sports Illustrated, among other places. I was also recently interviewed about the column by WNUR Radio in Evanston. Check that out here.
Go Cats!
