I’ve been blogging here for a couple of weeks now, and I’ve managed to refrain (for your sake) from writing about Northwestern sports. Today, I can’t help myself. My 8-4 Wildcats leapfrogged Wisconsin to earn an invitation to the Outback Bowl to face Auburn (7-5) on New Year’s Day. This is exciting news. I may even have to actually eat at an Outback Steakhouse. The final score of the game will be Northwestern 34, Auburn 23. You heard it here first. (At least I think you did. I can’t really be expected to keep up with what you’ve heard, and when you’ve heard it.)
